  • Instructions

  1. Stir together milk and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat on hob.

  2. When the sugar is fully dissolved, add the baking soda (optional) and stir.

  3. Keep the mixture at medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 2 hours.

  4. Once the mixture begins to thicken, start stirring it continuously to avoid burning.

  5. Transfer to a bowl to cool.

  6. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to couple of weeks.
